Zelda Companion App

🤔 About The Project
I designed and prototyped a mobile companion app inspired by The Legend of Zelda, focusing on enhancing in-game support and player accessibility. Using Figma, I conducted user journey mapping, UX research, and iterative usability testing to create an intuitive interface that helps players track quests, manage inventory, and navigate the game world more efficiently.
⚠️ The Problem
Players rely on scattered resources (wikis, maps, forums), creating friction when trying to access information quickly during gameplay.
Existing tools are often cluttered or unintuitive, making it difficult to track quests, items, or locations in a streamlined way.
Managing inventories, notes, and navigation across multiple in-game menus disrupts the player’s flow and breaks immersion.
💡 Key Features
Quest Tracking Dashboard – Allows players to view, sort, and manage active quests with clear progress indicators.
Interactive World Map – Offers region-based navigation with pins for shrines, dungeons, collectibles, and key NPCs.
Inventory & Item Tracking – Helps players track materials, weapons, and cooking ingredients, reducing time spent checking menus.
In-Game Notes System – Lets users jot down locations, puzzle hints, and personal reminders directly in the app.
Search & Filter Tools – Enables fast lookups for items, recipes, and locations, tailored to player needs during gameplay.
🏆 Achievements
Achieved over 100 Figma prototype views, demonstrating strong user interest and providing valuable feedback that informed improvements to usability and navigation.
