🤔 About The Project
Roava is a conversational travel application that integrating automation and personalization into a dialogue-based interface. Built in Figma, this project explored how conversational UX can simplify and humanize trip planning.
⚠️ The Problem
Users must jump between booking sites, blogs, maps, and social media to gather reliable recommendations — slowing down trip planning.
Current AI travel assistants lack critical reasoning, often ignoring transportation feasibility, timing conflicts, and user-specific preferences—requiring users to manually fix errors.
Group trips frequently involve mismatched budgets, dietary needs, and activity preferences, creating friction that existing tools fail to support.
💡 Key Features
AI-Powered Itinerary Generator – Creates complete day-by-day travel plans tailored to personal preferences, interests, dietary restrictions, and travel style.
Logistics Intelligence Engine – Validates routes, transit times, open hours, and physical effort to ensure itineraries are realistic, feasible, and conflict-free.
Personalization Layer – Explains AI recommendations based on user context, preferences, and constraints for transparency and trust.
Integrated Map & Route Export – Automatically converts itineraries into a navigable map with routes, timing, and saved points of interest.
Group Planning & Shared Budget Tools – Supports coordinating group expenses, aligning preferences, and reducing friction in collaborative trip planning.
🏆 Achievements
Developed as part of a graduate UX course, showcasing research-driven design, AI-assisted features, and high-fidelity prototyping.
